The blaze broke out shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday at a home near the Poconos, officials said.
Pocono Mountain Regional Police Chief Chris Wagner said flames ignited shortly before 10:30 p.m. at a home along Wilson Court in Coolbaugh Township. Crews from a half dozen different fire departments responded.
Firefighters found the man lying on the floor. He was brought outside and pronounced dead by the Monroe County coroner’s office, Wagner said. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.Pamela Sroka-Holzmann may be reached at
