The unidentified victim was crossing mid-block when he was hit on Camino de la Reina near Camino Del Arroyo about 1:50 a.m.
A man pushing a shopping cart across a Mission Valley street was struck and killed early Saturday morning, San Diego police said.Police said the victim was crossing mid-block when he walked into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.
The man suffered a serious head injury and died before he could be taken to a hospital.The 27-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, officials said. The department’s Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
