A man was fatally shot Saturday morning in Oakland’s Eastlake district.
OAKLAND — A 33-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday in the Eastlake district, authorities said.The man was found shot inside a car about 1:20 a.m. Saturday in the1200 block of 11th Avenue, an area that has a mixture of small businesses and residences. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said the man was shot by someone in another vehicle he had gotten into a dispute with. Police have not said what the dispute was about.The killing is the 116th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. The California Highway Patrol has also investigated six homicides on Oakland freeways this year. Last year at this time Oakland police had investigated 131 homicides in the city.
