A man fatally shot his roommate Tuesday night at an apartment complex in northwest Houston, according to authorities.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 9:40 p.m. at Villa Nueva apartments on the 5300 block of West Gulf Bank Road and found a man shot in his torso, Houston police said.UVALDE SCHOOL SHOOTING:Witnesses told investigators the man was outside his apartment with his roommate when the two got into an argument, according to Lt. Ronnie Willkens with the Houston Police Department.
During the altercation, the roommate allegedly pulled out a pistol and shot the man before leaving, Willkens added. Homicide investigators know the identity of the suspect and are hoping to locate him.
