A man died Wednesday after he fainted in a Hayward parking lot and was run over by a vehicle, police said.
HAYWARD — A 66-year-old man died Wednesday afternoon after he fainted and was run over by a vehicle, police said.
During the investigation, it was determined the 66-year-old man, who lived at the complex, had a medical emergency prior to the collision, which caused him to faint in the parking lot. Police have not yet said what kind of medical emergency it was. The injured man was found conscious and breathing and spoke with officers at the scene, police said. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment where his health rapidly declined, and he was pronounced deceased at 3:03 p.m., police said.
