Man extradited from Spain and charged with murder of woman shot dead in her garden in Liverpool

Ian Fitzgibbon, 28, was also charged with conspiracy to murder a man named Lee Harrison

A man has been extradited from Spain and charged with the murder of a 28-year-old council worker who was shot in the back garden of her home in Liverpool.

Fitzgibbon was arrested by the Spanish National Police and extradited from Spain, with the support of the NCA’s National Extradition Unit, on Thursday afternoon on a Trade and Co-operation agreement, Merseyside Police said. Ms Dale, who worked as an environmental health officer for Knowsley Council, was one of three victims who died within one week during a spate of fatal shootings in Liverpool last year.
