A 33-year-old man was pronounced dead Friday night after he crashed into a vehicle and struck a pole in the Bronzeville neighborhood, trying to take a gunshot victim to UChicago Medicine, Chicago police said. Around 9:45 p.m., another 33-year-old man was on a sidewalk in 4000 block of South Prairie Avenue when gunfire erupted and he was struck. A man attempted to drive the victim to a hospital in Hyde Park when he struck a vehicle and then a pole in the 4700 block of King Drive, police said.The gunshot victim was taken by paramedics to UChicago Medicine where he was listed in fair condition with gunshot wounds to left hand and left foot.
