BREAKING UPDATE: A man in critical condition after a Sunday night stabbing in San Jose has died, police say, marking the city's 17th homicide.
At about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 200 block of Bassett Street, just north of downtown San Jose, on a report of a stabbing, police said.
The victim, identified only as an adult male, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. SJPD confirmed at aroud noon Monday that the victim"succumbed to his injuries."Get a weekly recap of the latest San Francisco Bay Area housing news.
