Houston Police are investigating a fatal shooting after a man arrived at a Galleria area emergency room suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim died despite attempts by medical staff to save him.

Houston Police are investigating a fatal shooting after a man with gunshot wounds was brought to a Galleria area emergency room . The incident occurred at the Post Oak Emergency Room and Urgent ER Care located in the 5000 block of San Felipe Street. According to Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department, officers responded to the emergency room around 5:30 p.m. after a man arrived with another man who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of medical personnel inside the emergency room, the victim succumbed to his injuries. Crowson stated that investigators believe the shooting took place in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant south of the emergency room. Authorities are also attempting to locate the man who transported the victim to the hospital, as he reportedly left the scene after dropping off the injured individual.
