A man has been accused of killing his father early Friday outside a home in League City, according to police.

Nicholas Robert Liggio, 23, has been charged with murder and burglary of a building in connection with the death of David Liggio, 65, according to the League City Police Department. His bond was set at $180,000. Around 5:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a body in a driveway in the 200 block of Woodhollow Drive, according to officer John Griffith, spokesperson for the department.

Detectives arrived and saw a man believed to be the son run inside the home and lock the door, officials said. Officers tried to help the father in the street, but concluded he was dead and moved the body to a safe area.
