OAKLAND — A shooting in an East Oakland neighborhood Wednesday night killed a man, police said.
Responding Oakland police officers found the 39-year-old man shot when they responded to the 2800 block of Brookdale Avenue about 9:45 p.m., police said. An ambulance took the man to a hospital, and he died there, police said.The homicide is the 43rd of the year investigated by Oakland police. The CHP has investigated two shootings that have happened on Oakland freeways.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland for information leading to an arrest.
