JSO says at 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, patrol officers responded to the Huron-Sophia Apartments on Sophia Street where they found the man with at least 1 gunshot wound.Updated:JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after he was shot at an apartment complex on Jacksonville's Westside Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO says at 9:45 p.m., patrol officers responded to Huron-Sophia Apartments, located at 2800 Sophia St. Upon arrival, police say the unidentified man was found with at least one gunshot wound, as he was taken to a local hospital by members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and is where he later died.that detectives are at the scene, conducting their initial investigation and have been canvassing the area for potential witnesses and possible surveillance video.
