Two men killed a man when they opened fire on a vehicle traveling through a street in east Houston early Friday, police said.
Investigators were not sure whether the shooting was random or targeted, Lt. Jason Rosemon, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters.Officers around 1:50 a.m. responded to a report of a shooting in the 4400 block of Bell Street and found a vehicle with a dead man inside, Rosemon said.
A witness reported hearing 10 to 15 gunshots and went to the scene. The witness saw two people, dressed in all black, fleeing the scene, Rosemon said. A canine unit and helicopter helped police find two people hiding under cars in a nearby carport, Rosemon said. They were detained for questioning, but had not yet been charged with anything by Friday morning.
