The man convicted in the 2015 kidnapping of Denise Huskins in Vallejo, California, is scheduled to appear in Santa Clara County court on Monday to face new charges for a different case. Matthew Muller is currently serving a 40-year sentence in an Arizona prison for the rape and false imprisonment of Huskins in what police initially thought was a hoax.
Investigators did initially identify Muller as a possible suspect in the Palo Alto case. However, detectives said they didn't have enough evidence at the time to charge him.
