Tom Bryant was left with nine puncture wounds on his arm while on short dog walk near his house with his shih-tzu.
A man has told how he was hospitalised after being savaged by a Bully-type dog which also attacked his pet shih-tzu.
He said: “Call me naive, but when I ended up in hospital after a vicious dog attack near my home, I genuinely thought the police would leap into action. He said: “This apparent lack of interest in my case has made the mental anguish from the attack even worse. Just taking my shih-tzu Monty on a short dog walk near my house sends my anxiety levels soaring.

Charlotte, who is withholding her surname, even ended up in the same local A&E as Tom. She said: “It was horrific, I just remember two men having to pull the dog back and my arm pouring with blood.” Both victims had given formal statements and the police had a name for the alleged owner – but the dog was still free to attack Tom more than two months later.
