Manchester City's star creative midfielder Kevin De Bruyne faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium as he enters the final year of his contract
Manchester City are reportedly keen to sign RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo - even if Kevin De Bruyne remains at the Etihad Stadium this summer.
Whether the attacking midfielder stays this summer or not, Pep Guardiola and City are under no illusions that De Bruyne's days as the first-choice playmaker in the squad are numbered. According to Give Me Sport, this is why the Blues are still eager to activate the release clause in Olmo's contract.The Spaniard has performed admirably for his country at Euro 2024, and this will have only strengthened City's interest in the 26-year-old.
The 26-year-old scored 11 goals in 27 league appearances last season and would offer City a different dimension going forward if he were to sign. That appears to be a big deal at this stage, though, considering Palace have already lost Michael Olise.
