Police say they've launched an investigation into the banner flyover incident.
An airplane toting a"White Lives Matter" banner flew over Manchester City's soccer game against Burnley on Monday ... and now, cops say they're investigating.
Reports say the banner was visible for several minutes ... and players -- who have all decided to replace their last names on their jerseys with the words"Black Lives Matter" -- said afterward they were sickened by the message.
