Manchester City face Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League and have suffered a major injury concern.
Kevin De Bruyne limped off during Manchester City's Champions League clash vs Inter Milan, four days before the Blues face Arsenal in the Premier League.
De Bruyne had raced into the area just before half-time, but his attempt at a cross was stopped by Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who blocked the ball but also clattered into the Belgian. De Bruyne tried to walk off the issue, but quickly dropped to his knees and the physios attended to him on the pitch. He limped back on for the closing stages of the first half, but did not emerge after the break.
City will now assess De Bruyne ahead of Sunday's showdown with Arsenal in the Premier League, who confirmed an injury setback of their own on Wednesday with midfielder Martin Odegaard out for a few weeks,ALSO READ: 'No other option' - Rodri expects drastic action from Man City stars Winger Savinho was also replaced at half-time against Inter Milan, although there was no hint of an injury for the Brazilian. Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden came on for Pep Guardiola's side.
City are top of the Premier League table and are the only side with a perfect record having won all four of their opening top flight matches. Arsenal are two points adrift ahead of Sunday's showdown at the Etihad. The two sides played out a 0-0 draw in the corresponding fixture last season as City reeled in Mikel Arteta's side to secure a fourth straight Premier League crown.
