A 34-year-old man was charged with raping an underaged girl. Fendey Sitah pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Azreena Aziz, Friday.
He is accused of raping the 15-year-old girl at 4.50pm on Oct 28, 2022 at a room in Jalan Bundusan Villa, Penampang. The offence under Section 376 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
The court also ordered Fendey to surrender his passport, if any, to the court pending the disposal of his case. The court set July 10 for case management to serve documents and hearing would be from Feb 22 -23, next year.In another case, an illegal immigrant was jailed four months for entering the State illegally. Mahadil Nuldin admitted to the charge against him. He was arrested on May 13 this year at the city area after failing to produce his identification to police.
