A search warrant of the man's home uncovered two mobile phones, allegedly containing over 2000 fils of child abuse material.
The 28-year-old man was arrested by the Australian Federal Police in Goulburn on May 16, following a report from the United States' National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children that an online user had uploaded child abuse material to social media.

"Every child deserves to feel safe and the AFP and its partners will do whatever we can to protect children," Xuereb said.
"Our message to online offenders has not changed - if you procure, access and transmit child abuse material, you will be found, arrested and prosecuted."
