Tyrell Shamon Johnson, 35, was charged with manslaughter in Baldwin County, Alabama, after confessing to selling fentanyl to an individual who later died from a suspected overdose.
A man was charged with manslaughter Monday in Baldwin County after admitting he sold fentanyl to an individual who allegedly died from a drug overdose , according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. Tyrell Shamon Johnson, 35, faces the charge for allegedly supplying the drug to an individual who was found dead on Dec. 9 in Gulf Shores. A BCSO press release stated that early into the investigation a drug overdose was believed to be the cause of death.
The Baldwin County Coroner‘s office conducted a preliminary test and determined fentanyl was in their system. According to BCSO, the investigation determined Johnson was responsible for selling the drug. Investigators with the Baldwin County Drug Task Force contacted Johnson leading to his admission that he supplied the deceased fentanyl around the time of their death
