The Accrington man charged with killing mum Frankie Hough by dangerous driving in M66 crash
An east Lancashire man has been charged with killing a mum by dangerous driving after a crash on the M66.
Adil Iqbal was wearing a grey tracksuit when he appeared in the dock at Manchester Magistrates' Court this afternoon . The 22-year-old spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. Iqbal, from Accrington, is charged with one offence of causing death by dangerous driving and two offences of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a collision last Saturday. On the day, Frankie Hough, 38 and her two young children, Tommy, nine, and Rocky, two, were travelling on the motorway when they collided with a BMW.The MEN reports that Frankie's nephew, Tobias, four, was also a passenger in the car.
At this stage, no pleas have been entered. The case was adjourned for a preliminary hearing to be heard on June 19 at Minshull Street Crown Court.
