Lee Sargent of Culmington in Stirchley, Telford, is due to appear in Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The 46-year-old was charged after a 43-year-old woman was found with serious injuries in Culmington at around 8pm on Tuesday.Earlier on Wednesday, West Mercia Police said the woman had been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital [in Birmingham] where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
