A man will face court charged with affray after an alleged incident involving the senior Daily Telegraph and Fox Sports NRL journalist on Saturday night was filmed and circulated on social media.

A man has been charged over his involvement in an alleged street fight with rugby league journalist Paul Kent outside a popular inner west restaurant on Saturday night.journalist and Fox Sports presenter, was stood down from his roles after footage emerged of him in an altercation outside Totti’s Rozelle.A statement from a spokesperson speaking on behalf of both organisations said Kent “had been stood down pending an immediate investigation”.

He was charged with affray and granted conditional bail, to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on June 7.In the video posted to X, Kent can be seen trading insults with the 35-year-old man before the pair engage in a scuffle. The man appears to launch Kent into a nearby tree with video showing the journalist taking a tumble into the street, head-first.
