36-year-old Reading Cotton was arrested after the accident injured three people in a Nissan sedan, including an infant in a car seat, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Deputies added that the infant is expected to be OK, but faces a long recovery after suffering a skull fracture and brain swelling.21-year-old mom and baby hospitalized after crash in east Harris County, sheriff says HCSO said the baby's mother and another passenger were also taken to the hospital for their injuries. All lanes of the East Freeway near the San Jacinto River were closed as officials conducted their investigation. HCSO said Cotton, driving a Ford SUV, failed to stay in his lane and crashed into the Nissan that was parked on the left shoulder.
