The panel said it found extremely limited evidence of Mr Kareem facilitating learning and that he made no attempt to stop the viewing of the material
A teacher who showed pornography to his students in class has been permanently banned from teaching. Bolanle Kareem was the subject of a professional conduct panel, which took place on September 14.
This led to allegations that on at least one occasion in or around November 2019, the teacher showed his students, or allowed his students to access, pornographic material during class time. It was also alleged that, around the same time, he failed to discipline and/or report, adequately or at all, students who were simulating sex acts, reports KentLive.
The panel also heard there was evidence that he was aware of the images being displayed and took no steps to stop them, even enlarging a pornographic image on the screen for better visibility. Meanwhile, footage from November 11, 2019, showed the teacher attempting to play a pornographic video for students, as the footage showed him attempting multiple times to press the play icon over an indecent image.
