A chainsaw wielding man who police say rushed the Cohasset police station, terrorized a dispatcher then fled and barricaded himself in a home with young children is facing a judge today after police were able to tase and arrest him following a stand-off Sunday night.
A police dispatcher reported that Buckley was wielding the chainsaw on the department’s security door, attempting to gain entrance. Police called a tactical alert, bringing in assistance from neighboring communities including Hingham, Hull, Scituate, and Norwell, as well as a SWAT team and hostage negotiators from the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council .
