The police officer is in good condition after being cut in the arm and head, police said.
A Chicago police officer was cut by a knife-wielding man as the officer attempted to stop an apparent burglary, according to police.
Officers responded to a call about a man attempting to take items from inside a home on the 6100 block of S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. at 12:18 p.m. Sunday. The man inside the building then approached the officers with a knife, the Chicago Police Department said in a statement.“One officer sustained small cuts to the left forearm, bicep, and head,” the department wrote.
