Man assaults 29-week pregnant girlfriend in restaurant parking lot: Highland Heights Police Blotter
Officers responded to the Burgers 2 Beer parking lot May 29 for a report of a man beating a woman, who was said to be 29 weeks pregnant.It was determined that the two were a couple and the incident occurred after an argument.
The woman, 29, was taken to the hospital and the Cleveland man, 20, was arrested for felony domestic violence and resisting arrest.Officers reviewed footage from a doorbell camera and confirmed that an unknown male was in the area at the time of theft.A Denny’s employee reported May 30 that two teens ran from the business in separate directions after failing to pay their $39 bill.
He said he only had one drink, but he performed poorly on sobriety tests and refused to give a breath sample.A caller said June 3 that her grandmother was at the home belonging to her uncle and was arguing because she was not wanted there. Those involved had separated before officers arrived and the grandmother left without further incident.A woman reported from the city park June 4 that a group of children were using profanities in front of her grandchildren at the playground.
