Man arrested in fatal shooting in Chollas Creek area [Breaking]
Esteban Elizondo was taken into custody during a traffic stop and later booked into jail on suspicion of murder and being a felon in possession of a gun, homicide Lt. Jud Campbell said.
Campbell said the victim, a 29-year-old man, had been shot at least once. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. His name was not released. Campbell said Saturday that detectives were interviewing people at the encampment and looking for evidence. He said it was a “difficult scene to work in.”
