San Francisco officers arrested a man suspected of assaulting an elderly bus passenger and a physically disabled man earlier this week, according to police.
Around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, a 90-year-old man was riding on a Muni bus that was traversing through the areas of Bryant and Thirds streets when someone struck him multiple times in the head and kicked him before he fell to the ground, the San Francisco Police Department said. The suspect fled the scene before the arrival of police and paramedics, who treated the victim. The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries. Around 12:30 p.m.
Eventually, he was nabbed and was identified as 27-year-old Jahad Antoine. He was booked into San Francisco County jail on suspicion of resisting or delaying arrest, elder abuse, assault likely to produce great bodily injury, and numerous warrant violations.
