Seattle police arrested a man Tuesday morning after reports of a disturbance near 14th Avenue and East Pike Street.
Just after 1:15 a.m., officers were called to a man threatening pedestrians and throwing rocks at the windows of nearby buildings.
When officers arrived, they saw the man at a distance throwing rocks at windows and tried to make contact with him. The man was hostile to police and began throwing rocks at them, causing the officers to take cover behind a dumpster.A Seattle police contact team with riot shields eventually used a 40mm non-lethal launcher when the man refused to follow orders to drop the rocks.
The launcher was successful and the man took off running. He was later found and booked into the King County Jail on counts of assault in the third degree and felony-level property damage.
