Jonathan Ledesma , 27, was arrested on July 29 for robbing a San Marcos gas station on July 21, stealing $50 and beer, and faces an additional charge of assaulting a pregnant person. A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a San Marcos gas station and faces an additional assault charge, authorities said Tuesday.
Jonathan Ledesma of San Marcos was taken into custody on Monday, July 29 in connection with an aggravated robbery at a Stripes Gas Station the previous week, according to the Deputies responded to the gas station Sunday, July 21, at 2700 Hunter Road around 2:19 a.m. after receiving reports of an armed robbery. The suspect fled the scene with $50 and an 18-pack of beer before law enforcement arrived.
Investigators identified Ledesma as the suspect after reviewing surveillance footage and obtaining a description from a store employee. The Austin Police Department's Metro Tactical team assisted in apprehending Ledesma without incident. Ledesma is currently being held at the Hays County Jail on a $35,000 bond for the aggravated robbery charge. He also faces an additional charge of assault on a pregnant person from the Austin Police Department, with bond set at $15,000 for that offense.
