Capitol Police officers said they saw the vehicle near Peace Circle at around 10 a.m. when it entered the grass near Third Street, Northwest, and Constitution Avenue, not far from the U.S. Capitol Building.7News spotted the vehicle and heavy police activity near the U.S. Capitol reflecting pool. Dozens of officers, many visibly armed, responded to the scene, and a man was taken into custody shortly after. A bomb squad inspected the car and found no threat but kept several roads closed due to an investigation.
