Authorities say they found the car had crashed on the left shoulder, still facing oncoming traffic with its lights off. The driver, appearing impaired, refused to get out of the car. After some effort, officers managed to take him into custody.A sobriety test confirmed he was intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit.
