charged with Possession of Components of Explosives and Possession/Manufacture of a Prohibited Weapon. BEXAR COUNTY - A 52-year-old man was arrested for allegedly manufacturing illegal explosive devices in a residential neighborhood in far West Bexar County .

According to a press release Thursday by the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office , a search warrant was executed at the 14000 block of Wild Cat Lair, where BCFMO discovered evidence of explosive weapons and improvised explosive devices. Juan Antonio Ramirez, 52, was arrested without incident following the search and investigation in coordination with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office , the San Antonio Police Department Bomb Squad, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives , and the Federal Bureau of Investigation . Deputy Fire Marshals also obtained evidence that Ramirez was building and setting off these explosive devices on his property located within a residential neighborhood. Ramirez was arrested and charged with Possession of Components of Explosives and Possession/Manufacture of a Prohibited Weapon. Officials said he may be facing additional charges.
