Bruce Daniels, 57, of Tumwater, Washington, was indicted for the murder and rape of Amy Hooper, whose body was found in her Lincoln Village apartment in March 1992. Investigators linked Daniels to the crime through DNA found on his trash, which matched a male profile found on Hooper's body.
Amy Hooper's body was discovered nude, face up, in March of 1992 at her Lincoln Village apartment in the 4900 block of Medfield Way. Investigators said her hands were loosely bound, and she was bludgeoned and stabbed to death.
A Franklin County grand jury on Tuesday indicted Bruce Daniels, 57, of Tumwater, Washington, for murder and rape. Detectives charged him earlier this month, saying Daniels was a person of interest. Law enforcement in Washington recovered his trash with his DNA on it, which deputies said matched the profile of male DNA found on Hooper's body.
