Beachwood police were called to Ahuja Medical Center, 3999 Richmond Road, where a man, 91, who has dementia, was upset and used his cane to crack his car's windshield.

A Beachwood man reported that a woman in New Jersey, who he does not know, used his credit card information to make charges of more than $1,000.At 11:10 p.m. Sept. 7, police were called to The Aster apartments, 3600 Park East Drive, where it was reported that a man had threatened to kill his girlfriend, 26.

Police learned that the two had been drinking alcohol when the man, 33, of Warrensville Heights, made the threat. He left the apartment, but came back shortly after and kicked in the woman’s apartment door. Police apprehended the man and arrested him on charges of domestic violence, burglary and criminal damaging. The woman was not injured.At 7:15 p.m. Sept. 6, police arrested a Beachwood boy, 15, for the theft of clothing, valued at a total of $712.43, from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road.At 8:05 a.m. Sept. 8, a Beachwood man, 65, reported that a woman in New Jersey had fraudulently used his credit card to ring up charges of $1,169.07.

The man was upset because his son had, out of concern for the man’s dementia, took from him his gun. The elderly man was yelling while outside the hospital and used his cane to crack the windshield of his car before being admitted for evaluation.At 6:15 p.m. Sept. 8, police arrested a Mayfield Village man, 41, for stealing a bowtie, valued at $39.50, from Dillard’s.At 3:30 p.m. Sept. 8, officers arrested a Cleveland woman, 22, for the theft of a sweatshirt, valued at $168, from Dillard’s.
