A man has been arrested after opening the emergency exit door of a Jetstar plane at Melbourne airport and climbing out onto the wing. The passenger, on board flight JQ507 from Sydney to Melbourne, opened the door about 10am on Thursday morning while the plane was on the tarmac.
Major emergency at Melbourne Airport Passengers reportedly tried to intervene and stop the man however he pushed them away. Video obtained by 7NEWS shows the man standing on the wing of the plane, with the emergency slide deployed. He then proceeds to climb off the wing and onto the ground where he is quickly apprehended by airport staff before being arrested by the Australian Federal Police time,” Jetstar said. The remaining passengers safely disembarked the aircraft.
