During the chase, the suspect crashed into several other vehicles.
A man is in custody after stealing a military vehicle from a residential Maryland neighborhood and leading officers on a highway pursuit into downtown Baltimore.
As Stevens made his way south onto Interstate 95, police made several unsuccessful attempts to stop the vehicle using spike strips. Stevens had been released from the Hartford County Detention Center just prior to stealing the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
