Coleman Nathaniel Younger, 19, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault produces loss of consciousness , a second-degree felony, the Iron County Sheriff's Office said.
On Friday, a deputy said he was working an overtime shift at the Iron County Fair Grounds when he received reports of an assault involving Younger and the 13-year-old boy.When the deputy spoke with the boy and his mother, he learned the boy was standing near the boat ride at the carnival when Younger allegedly came up behind him, placed his arms around his neck, and began squeezing with both arms.
Four witnesses reportedly observed the altercation and said Younger picked up the boy while squeezing his neck. The boy said he lost consciousness and the witnesses said the boy was a purple color and foaming at the mouth before regaining consciousness, the deputy said.Younger was found but denied applying pressure to the boy's neck. Younger said they were only playing, according to the deputy.
