His wife Shona Walker told jurors how the 41-year-old had repeatedly denied having an affair with Lauren.
However, that was scuppered when the air traffic controller said he had been delayed cleaning a large"coffee stain" on his carpet.Walker denies murdering 34-year-old Lauren as well as then putting her in a large bagShona, 38, today told the High Court in Glasgow how she married Walker in 2012.She said she played the sport more for"fun", but that Walker took it"more seriously".The witness said they had"unexpectedly" separated in the summer of 2020.
Jurors were told their ninth wedding anniversary was on May 26. A dinner had then been planned for that night at a local golf club.The witness thought this"strange". She quizzed her husband about her and he claimed to have known Lauren"from years ago".Prosecutor David Dickson asked Shona:"Did he say that he was in a relationship with her?"Shona was at work as an assistant air traffic controller when she said Lauren then appeared to try and call her on May 26.
