A man is suspected of shooting his wife early Monday in south Houston and then briefly fleeing the scene before returning to turn himself in, officials said.
Officers got a call around 1:20 a.m. about a shooting in the 8400 block of Scott Street, Lt. J.P. Horelica, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. First responders took a woman with multiple gunshot wounds to the hospital with serious injuries.Witnesses told police a husband had shot his wife, Horelica said. The shooting happened just a few hundred yards from the man’s sister’s home, who came out after hearing gunshots.
