Juan 'Slim' Davis is accused of arranging a fatal shooting targeting Luis Diaz, a witness in Davis' previous crimes. Prosecutors allege Davis' girlfriend, Katherine Treadway, summoned Davis to the scene, knowing Diaz's mother was a potential witness and had refused to testify against Davis. Two other men, Devonte 'Baby' Parker and Jayden 'Juice' Sorensen, are linked to the shooting.

Cleveland police claim Davis’ girlfriend, Katherine Treadway, who lived in the same building as Diaz’s mother, summoned Davis to the scene of the shooting.
In the minutes leading up to the shooting, Treadway called Davis multiple times as he drove Parker, 30, and Sorensen toward her residence, according to phone records. At around 2:16 p.m., two men identified by prosecutors as Parker and Sorensen exited Davis’ vehicle near West 65th Street armed with a Canik 9 mm pistol and an AK-style rifle,five of them striking a car in the driveway where Diaz sat with his mother and 11-month-old brother, prosecutors said.
“Sorensen is a liar,” said Spellacy, who questioned whether Parker was at the scene and argued that DNA evidence on the Canik, recovered by authorities months after the shooting, was inconclusive.
