Juan Manuel Yanez, 47, called 911 to report that he had shot and killed Victoria Valadez, 43, in San Marcos, Texas. Yanez was later found and arrested by Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Upon arrival on the scene, officers entered an apartment unit and located 43-year-old Victoria Valadez with a fatal gunshot wound, police said. Yanez was involved in a relationship with Valadez, but San Marcos police said it was unclear whether they were married.in a silver 2009 Chevrolet truck. San Marcos police then requested assistance from the public on social media to track Yanez down.

Yanez was later taken into custody after deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office found him in an area he frequently visits, police said.Spencer Heath is a Digital Journalist at KSAT.
