Police are searching for a man accused of making anti-Asian remarks and spitting at a staff member of the New York City Councilwoman Gale Brewer.
Authorities say the incident took place on March 14 around 1:05 p.m. outside Councilwoman Brewer's office on Columbus Avenue.The suspect is said to have then made an anti-Asian remark and spat at the victim before fleeing southbound on Columbus Avenue.The suspect was last seen wearing a facemask, dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, and white sneakers. He was also last seen carrying a bright colored book bag and a brown paper bag.
