Nottinghamshire Police officers are appealing for information to the assault. The victim suffered a broken collarbone and facial injuries
Police are investigating after a 74-year-old man was attacked in Worksop. He was walking along the path by the Chesterfield Canal at around 11.30am on November 25.
After pleading with the attacker for about five minutes to let him go, the victim was released. He suffered a broken collarbone and facial injuries as a result of the incident which remains under investigation. A man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. He was subsequently released on bail pending further inquiries.
