He avoided justice for over two years by hiding from the police
A 33-year-old man who assaulted a helpless driver with a spade and knife in Desborough has been sentenced. The man and his accomplice followed the driver and boxed him in before attacking him and stabbing his arm.
The attack took place on the morning of November 6, 2020. Gavin and 29-year-old Matthew Lee used their cars to chase down another vehicle and box the driver in on Harrington Road, Desborough, near Kettering.Gavin and Lee then attacked the 42-year-old victim with a knife and a spade. During the assault, the unnamed victim suffered a stab wound to his arm.Lee was arrested and sentenced to five years and six months in prison in February 2021.
