Houston police responded to reports at 2 p.m. of a shooting at an apartment complex located in the 9550 block of Deering Drive. When officers arrived, they found Jackson shot multiple times and unresponsive on the sidewalk inside the complex. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said Jackson and another suspect got into an argument and shots were fired, killing Jackson.
Hardyway and the 15-year-old were both identified as suspects in the shooting. Hardyway, who was in custody in the Fort Bend County Jail on an unrelated charged, admitted his involvement in the incident and was charged.
