In a deal believed to be the highest-ever transfer fee paid by a South African team, Allende is to complete a move to Sundowns on a three-year deal from Uruguayan club Montevideo City Torque. According to Chilean media, who have described Allende's move to Sundowns as"surprising", the transfer was heavily influenced by finances.The report claims Sundowns paid around R51,6 million , which is also considered a significant amount in Chile.Allende joined City Torque on a free transfer in January 2020.
"After completing his move to Magallanes, the player was released and ended up signing in the Uruguayan capital at zero cost," reads part of a report in a Chilean publication namedAccording to a source in Uruguay, Allende will have his earnings tripled from what he was earning in Uruguay.
